BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their field operations in the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate, today, targeting the last towns under jihadist control near the northern corridor of the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport.

Led by their 124th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army began their operations on Friday by attacking the town Qaytal from recently captured Um Sinabel.

Not long after launching this attack, the Syrian Army was able to impose full control over Qaytal, forcing the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham to retreat further south.

The Syrian Army is now attempting to reach the northern flank of the Abu Dhuhour Military Airport, as they continue their offensive in southern Aleppo.
