BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army has begun entering Khan Sheikhoun from all axes in a bid to secure the city, a military source told Al-Masdar News moments ago.

According to the source, the Syrian Army are combing through Khan Sheikhoun and hoping to secure the city within the next day.

He added that some neighborhoods in the northern part of the city were already secured after they entered, but they had not moved their forces until now.

Despite media claims on Tuesday, the Syrian Arab Army never had control of Khan Sheikhoun; they had only cut the main supply route to the jihadist forces inside the city.

This move by the Syrian Army to control Khan Sheikhoun comes just hours after the military managed to capture Tal Tari and several points near the town of Al-Ta’manah.

At this time, the Syrian Arab Army is working to capture Al-Ta’manah in a bid to completely encircle the jihadist rebels in the northern countryside of the Hama Governorate.

So what happened to the HTS Jihadis who spoke tall about how they will not allow Khan Sheikhoun to fall in the hands of Syrian Arab Army? These Jihadis were in the southern part of the city dug in to fight SAA. What happened? SAA just erased them?

Good job SAA. I wish my government in Serbia would send about 5,000 soldiers and equipment to assist our Syrian brothers in idlib in mopping up US and Saudi funded wahhabist jihadists like we mopped up here. We have experience fighting jihadists. I would be the first to volunteer.

This will be huge if they can in circle it from all sides…but surely they will pull out to fight again if they had any sense but we just don’t know how many solders are around the town plus we have no idea how many jihadi groups or fighter’s are in the town…but this will be huge if they can take the town in a week or less…

As for how many soldiers SAA has to keep Khan Sheikhoun encircled is anybody’s guess. As for how many HTS Jihadis are within the southern part of KH is also anybody’s guess. Both sides do not know as of now and once the Jihadis cannot stay put in one place will obviously come out and then both sides will know and we all will know too 🙂 😉
