DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:35 P.M.) – Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) shot down an Israeli drone hovering inside Syrian airspace while observing army positions in the Golan Heights.

According to a statement released by the Syrian military, the Skylark reconnaissance drone was shot down over Samadaniyah Sharqiah, near the border town of Al-Quneitra.

Three days ago, Syrian anti-aircraft units also shot down an Israeli jet during a sortie near Palmyra, deep inside Syrian territory.

Subsequently, tensions have worsened between the warring countries while an Israeli minister recently threatened to neutralize the SAA’s air defenses.

  1. How much do you want to bet the Israelites will claim it was still on their side of the contact line/border. Or even deny the whole thing.

Plus I’m sure that Isreal will then launch a few air strikes in retaliation. For the shooting of this drone (even if they deny it)

So if they deny it then claim retaliation as justification for future air strikes. it means they lied. Make point of this.

  2. Excellent 🙂 🙂
I hope there be a second drone downed.
So they have so send stealth drone, which an other price.
And stealth is not stealth

  3. El demonio Netnayahu enviando aviones de reconocimiento para luego dar coordenadas y ayudar a sus terroristas.

  4. Its a tiny man-launched UAV that flies at low altitude, all you need is a gun to shoot it down.

    • A little bit bigger : 4.8m wingspan, 45kg, well, you need a little more to launch (pneumatic system) and it can fly a bit higher but no problem to down it with a ManPADS or a serious AA-gun for sure as the max ceiling is only 4600m and you usually avoid max ceiling as you may much likely stall and so lose the aircraft. It’s very more likely the craft was operated between 2 and 3 km high
